Arpie rather likes the character of Habitrot, from this old fairy story:

Habitrot Saves a Lass from Spinning

He particularly likes the detail of Habitrot’s enormous lower lip, She seemed like a good enemy for Annais (as well as an excellent counterpoint to the kind of personal power Annais weilds.)

Also, the story seemed like it needed someone in it on ‘Yuba’s side for the sake of ‘Yuba being a relatively innocent little girl, rather than the magically-potent daughter of a powerful monarch.

Habitrot has kind of grown into a sort of Petticoat Junction Paton, commanding a hopelessly outnumbered garrison of textile-oriented soldiers guarding nothing more than a collection of rocks that the Witch Queen’s ravening empire has beseiged for the sole purpose of expansion itself.

As such, Arpie rather likes this incarnation of her as well. Let’s hope she rolls well in Chapter Five.
